"Asia-Plus" is the first independent Media Group in Tajikistan. It was registered with the Tajik Ministry of Justice in 1995.
The News Agency Asia-Plus has operated since 1996. The first edition of the information and analytical bulletin in English and Russian languages was brought out in April 1996. Almost all foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Tajikistan and the majority of international and commercial organizations active in the country have subscribed to news services offered by the Agency already during the first months of its activity.
In 1998, Information Agency Asia-Plus switched over to issuing daily news -- "Asia-Plus Blitz." Its main headings are "Power"; "Parliament"; "Economy"; "Cooperation"; "Legislation"; "Defense" and "Security"; "Law & Order", "Society" and "Regions". Development of its own correspondents’ network in Dushanbe and in the regions of the country (Khujand, Qurghon Teppa, Kulob and Khorog) allowed the Agency becoming the most efficient and reliable source of independent information in Tajikistan. It is no accident that Asia-Plus has been the most frequently quoted local source of information in recent years. Our principles of work are OBJECTIVITY, EFFICIENCY and IMPARTIALITY.
Today, subscribers to news agency’s products include the Tajik President's Office, Parliament, many ministries and departments of the country, banks and large commercial organizations.
